MARK TEITELBAUM JOINS AXA PARTNERS TO LEAD ADVANCED MARKETS GROUP
November 14, 2006 - Mark Teitelbaum has joined AXA Partners, the wholesale life insurance division of AXA Distributors LLC, based in Hartford, Conn., as Vice President of the Advanced Markets Group. The announcement was made today by Gary Hirschkron, Senior Vice President of AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company.
The Advanced Markets Group, headed by Mr. Teitelbaum, is responsible for the execution of advanced case design, which includes such concepts as premium and split dollar financing of life insurance, estate planning, trust structuring, key person valuations and qualified plan distributions.
"Mark's expertise in law, tax, business and estate planning, and sales tool development is exceptional," said Mr. Hirschkron. "His appointment to the AXA Partners management team reinforces our commitment to providing value-added resources to our distribution clients."
Prior to joining AXA Partners, Mr. Teitelbaum was most recently a Vice President with MetLife Investors and a Second Vice President of Advanced Marketing at Travelers Life & Annuity. In those roles, he developed sales tools that integrated client-based marketing with proprietary life insurance illustration systems.
Mr. Teitelbaum began his insurance career with Connecticut Mutual, and later worked for Phoenix Life Insurance Co. and National Life of Vermont. Prior to that, he worked for Weston Financial Group, where he focused on planning for corporate executives.
Mr. Teitelbaum is a graduate of Kenyon College. He also holds a J.D. degree from Ohio Northern University and an LL.M in taxation from Boston University. He is both a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). A published authority on life insurance, Mr. Teitelbaum is an Assistant Editor of the Journal of the American Society of Financial Service Professionals and a regular contributor to the CLU Journal, National Underwriter and the American Society's Business & Compensation Planning Newsletter.
