Charles Marino Appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Actuary of AXA Equitable
New York, September 26, 2006 - Charles Marino was elected Chief Actuary and Executive Vice President of AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company by the company's Board of Directors. The announcement was made today by Christopher "Kip" Condron, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AXA Equitable.
"With over 25 years of experience," said Condron, "Charles Marino is well established and highly regarded for his financial actuarial expertise within AXA Equitable and across the global AXA Group."
Mr. Marino joined AXA Equitable's Executive Management Committee in May, 2006. As Chief Actuary, he will oversee all actuarial activity, including Product Development Services, Reinsurance, Underwriting, Valuation, and Corporate Projections.
Mr. Marino has held several positions at AXA Equitable since joining the company in 1980, immediately following his graduation from New York University. His company experience includes senior roles with responsibility for valuation projection models and earnings analysis, as well as management of the group pension business.
